PHOTOPROTECTIVE, CYTOTOXIC AND PHOTOMODIFYING ACTIVITY OF LICHEN BIOMASS NON-POLAR FRACTIONS AGAINST HUMAN KERATINOCYTE (HaCAT)

In vitro, the photoprotective, cytotoxic and photomodifying properties of hexane benzene extracts from widely distributed in Belarus lichens Cladonia arbuscula, Evernia prunastri, Hypogymnia physodes, Ramalina pollinaria Xanthoria parietina culture human keratinocytes (HaCAT), are estimated. It was found that these not they have a effect upon irradiation keratinocyte cultures with ultraviolet light. Hexane extract E. prunastri R. H. physodes at concentration 2.5 μg/ml photoprotectors weaken radiation by 1.6 ÷ 1.8 times. Extracts C. arbuscula X. photosensitizers – increase toxic 10 or more times, regardless nutrient medium. to HaCAT culture. With an dose zero lethal values, acted as photoprotector μg / ml, photosensitizer higher concentrations. The exhibited sensitizing increased lichen extracts. were most potent photosensitizers.
